COURSE OBJECTIVES
Ability to perform first level maintenance. To provide theory of leak detectors and principles of operation. Fault finding, diagnosis and fault rectification. Introduction of preventive maintenance in accordance to the application. Correct and efficient use of the leak detector in order to extend the lifespan.

PREREQUISITES
Prior experience on leak detectors or vacuum installations is preferable.

Lectures and «hands on» exercises. Custom training manual. Prior interview with the trainees possible in order to qualify their needs. Multiple choice questions at the start and end of the training. Training centres integrated with 40-30 workshops. Maximum 6 persons per group.

1. Theoretical elements - The principle of seal control using tracer gas - Assessment of the size of a leak - Preparation of the parts to be checked
2. Working methods - Spray method - Sniffing method - Bombing method - Pressurization method
3. Detailed study of an ASM 142 detector - General (presentation of the appliance, technical specifications) - Description (vacuum synoptic, control panel, remote control unit, use) - Description of the service as part of level 1 maintenance
4. Detailed study of an UL 1000 or equivalent - General (presentation of the appliance, technical specifications) - Description (vacuum synoptic, control panel, remote control unit, use) - Description of the service as part of level 1 maintenance
5. Precautions and limitations of use - Recovery time - Use limit temperatures - Accidental air intake - Remark: stability of a calibration leak - Role of the filter Detailed studies can be made on other models of detector.Please contact us for further details.
